Statin induced memory loss - Reversible

by Simon

I took various statins for severe coronary heart disease and elevated LDL for more than A decade. I ceased after several years of abdominal pain and 3 bouts of pancreatitis.

Over the next few years I noticed a marked increase in my cognitive functions and memory. I don't know if the improvement is due to the loss of fatigue that cleared quite quickly following statin cessation or some sort of ongoing neuronal "repair". I suspect the latter due to the time course of the improved functioning as it took place over a couple of years.

It would be of concern if I am correct.
