Cut the Added Sugars and Triglycerides Drop

You message on triglycerides is one of the best on-line but can be better.

Bottom-line: eliminate the HFCS, minimize all fructose-based added sugars, eat only whole grains and more fish. By doing just that I halved my triglycerides and had the best cholesterol in 25 years. Also by cutting out the sugar, I dropped 20 pounds.

This was the diet my doctor told me to follow and by following it I also found that I reduced my overall carbs significantly, while increasing my fats significantly, and yet I halved my triglycerides. I also eat a lot more dairy products to include at least 2 eggs a day and the best cholesterol in 25 years.

From the research I've done, ethanol can raise triglycerides, but I found that as long as I keep it down to less than 50 ml a day, no problem, just as the research shows.

So, you don't have to be no fun in your recommendations. My doctor wasn't.
